Paint Shop Pro V7.01 - "wash" effect

I used to use Image Composer which was packaged with Front Page 97, and there was an effect called "wash" that made an image lighter. ("Washed" it out.) Now I am using Paint Shop Pro V7.01, and am looking for a similar function, but cannot find anything in Help - does anyone know how to do this is Paint Shop Pro V7.01?

I've never used Image composer before but have you considered playing with the brightness/contrast or levels/curves in PSP? I haven't used PSP for some time but I think you'll find these options under colours menu?
Alternatively you could just try adding a new layer of white over your image and then changing the opacity of this new layer to let your original image show back through?
