I've been using Firefox for as long as it's been out, converting from Mozilla, (and before that the dreaded IE) and, in my opinion, it's by far the best browser out there. I only have one complaint. Every month or so, all of the favicons in my bookmarks just disappear. As I visit the sites, they return one by one. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Perhaps it's one of the plug-in's I have installed. Even with this small problem, Firefox is the best browser hands down.

I have also this kind of "problem" but I don't really care. From the start I have wandering why are all the favicons gone away but I have stopped worying. But I think that for this is not responsible any of my plugins because I have installed only webdeveloper tools.

Sure you've not cleared your cache within that time frame? That would surely get rid of the favicons until you visit the sites again.

No. They disappear without dumping the cache. Are you using Firefox Fred? If so...do you have this problem?

Definitely. Firefox rocks. Though to tell you the truth I've not come across this problem. Either that or I don't pay to much attention to my favicons. ;)

Do you have any plug-ins installed, Fred? As Webfreak stated, I also have some webdeveloper plug-ins, and he seems to have the same problem as I do.

I sure do. Web Developer 0.7, EditCSS 0.01.3, et. al. Have you perhaps searched Bugzilla (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/) yet?

You know...for some reason, that never even occured to me. I'll give that a try. Thanks, Fred.
Post back with the results. My favicons tend to get screwed up as well, either not showing up, or displaying the wrong favicon for a site.
