Hi,
I'm trying to set up my own web site. To do this I gave the job to this company logicodes. They promised me they could do the job for a set rate for a given duration. Now it's 3 months past the prmoised date, still they have not shown they an progress of the work. If they do, it's of someone elses !!! Everytime I ask it's tomorrow. Thing is I paid half of the amount so I want my moneys worth.

how would you'll handle something like this ? a few weeks ago the developer asked me for my host details to put the site I gave it, and still nothing. The last time I chatted to him, he was busy discussing work with his partner, yeah partner for messing up people !!! ?If they showed me progress stopped the lame excuses things would be ok, but I haven't seen nothing.

one advice would be don't pay them nothing until atleast half the job is seen, if I knew it was gonna be like this I would have found another developer. I saved up this money for this job, now it's like I just been screwed !!! When they promoised me the release date I signed up customers for it who are paying for the service now they must feel screwed too !!!! LOGICODES REALLY SCREWED ME !!!! BUT I'm gonna get my money's worth or they better give my money back, when I ask I don't get a reply so don't think I will but I'm gonna get my moneys worth !!!

Anyone if you got any advice on how to handle this and get results I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Get your solicitor/whatever they're called wherever you are to write them a letter asking that they show you all their progress and complete the job or you sue for the lost earnings and your money back. That normally gets people going. In most countries they are obliged to deliver work within a reasonable amount of time or refund you, especially since they have gone over their own deadline you would probably have no problems recovering the money and extra in a small claims court. Also, how did you pay? If you paid by credit card for example it will be much easier to recover your money than if you paid in cash, expecially if they run off or go bankrupt.

hi,
thanks for the reply. I paid by bank draft. Thing is when I ask for the money back the developer keeps changing the subject or says tomorrow. Luckily I didn't pay the full amount. Thing is only later on I found out, the companies developer is a 21 year old, don't think there are any other developers. Now when I come to think of it it might be even just this simgle person who goes as sales, support etc. ?? I got all the emails from the first conversation, with the duration promised and features etc. I've written to the developer still waiting for a reply (Crap customer service/support) !!!!

if they won't even give the money back I'm trying to get then a product of theirs which they advertise on the site which is already developed.

can't believe I got caught, their service beofre I paid was really good, I send a mail now, I get a reply in an instant, now I send a mail I have to wait as long as 2 weeks !!!!, and that is sending to all their email addresses.

anyway will see what developer has to say, I bet it'll be "it'll be ready tomorrow" or "it's nearly done" !!!!! :o

will keep you updated, a warning to anyone else dealing with logicodes, DON'T PAY NOTHING TILL YOU GET SOME RESULTS OR SEE PROGRESS

oh yeah they asked me to select a template after I paid, and till now I haven't seen a single page with that template it's still someone elses site they show as mine !!!!

till later

Where do you live? In many countries there will be a regulatory authority who you can complain to to get this sort of thing sorted out. I suppose more to the point though is where they are.
