Hi,
i have re-created a website for someone, looks good, only problem is i have created a booking form and an email form in ASP, the company that they do the hosting through has a linux server and does not support ASP.
what is the best option here:
* do i switch to a different hosting company
* create the scripts in PHP, (not real good at this yet)
* something else?
thanks

When it as developed, ASP was only supposed to run on servers running under a Windows environment. Though, a couple of companies have created applications, which allow you to execute ASP scripts on a Linux server.
ChilliSoft (http://www.chillisoft.com) offer a fairly good package (though, it can be pricey).
Your best bet is to rewirte your application in a language, which runs fine of Linux servers, such as Perl or PHP.
Also, encourage the client to move to a Windows based hosting account (www.nevidia.com are good!)

A valid alternative, indeed.

Notice the propaganda nested in my singature everyone*. Mono is still under work, but most of the big stuff for vb.net and c# is down. Eventually they want to get most of the languages done, but making the special linux compiler for each language takes time. Novell might get a whole team on this if their experiment goes well... micrsoft might get a team on it too (attorneys), you know ms will try to say that asp.net is our product only we can make it run on linux, and it will cost the user a pretty penny! It would be nice if they could keep asp.net 100% free, some how.
