Fireworks pop-up menu question

I created a pop-up menu using Fireworks. It works fine, but the menu is too long and does not fit on the screen. In order to see the bottom of the list, the user needs to scroll down, however once they take the mouse off of the menu, it closes.

Is there a way to make the menu side by side? The layout options in Fireworks will only make a straight menu.

This is what I currently have:

item1
item2
item3
item4
item5
item6
item7
item8
item9
item10

This is what I need to try and do:

item1 item6
item2 item7
item3 item8
item4 item9
item5 item10

Is this possible? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

maybe you should use subitems in fireworks...
