Naigation should be obvious Read this: http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/mysterymeatnavigation.html PeOfEo 06-17-2004, 12:16 AM took me forever to load on cable, your server lags. http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.mattdudley.d2g.com/flowerlayout/ your validation, that should get fixed. Also that navigation is wayyyyy to js intensive. How come more then half of the code is js! Daniel T 06-17-2004, 12:31 AM And with images disabled, it's just 5 small white squares with black outlines :( dera 06-17-2004, 05:21 AM Originally posted by Vladdy Yikes, ever heard of KISS principle? Naigation should be obvious Read this: http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/mysterymeatnavigation.html i totally agree with him, i guessed ur navagation was there because this eview was on navigation soccer362001 06-17-2004, 08:17 AM Its not too too bad but you really should not rely on JS for your navigation. davidbrent 06-17-2004, 10:14 AM I would have at least some text on the buttons in the off position as its confusing and puts the whole accessibility options off for a while. And as Soccer says, do not rely on javascript for your navigation as this is an accessibility no no. Hope that helps. But i went to your homepage. Instead of using an Iframe you should use a css alternative. <div style="overflow: auto;"> frame text here frame text here frame text here frame text here frame text here frame text here... </div> try that. That's a better alternative. Best Wishes, David dera 06-24-2004, 06:30 AM Originally posted by davidbrent I could reach the original link. But i went to your homepage. Best Wishes, David iv seen either u or other people allot in the forum using that, whats so good about that method? how does it work as a frame, arn't frames to include other pages in one document Bonner 06-28-2004, 04:47 PM People go on about me attacking people for stuff they make and I lose respect yet the moment Vladdy says something in the same context everybody agrees with him and starts attacking people. I personally have nothing against Vladdy who has helped me out a few times in the past. I just do not understand why I get attacked for being honest when he doesn't. Sometimes JavaScript makes a great job for navigation. As long navigating around pages is not removed I see no reason why we should not depend on JavaScript. Sam 06-28-2004, 06:19 PM The reason people "attack" you is that some of your posts are neither respectful, or infomative. Saying stuff like This is beautiful. I can see you know what you are doing. How very 'bright' of you to design such a wonderful template. I presume your children wear glasses? Does nothing, where as telling people to look into standards is. This is why people agree with Vladdy and take offense to you. PeOfEo 06-28-2004, 08:06 PM vladdy gave a suggesting, saying navigation should be obvious with his. He also provided a (I am assumeing, I have not visited it though) helpful link. dera 06-29-2004, 04:48 AM This is beautiful. I can see you know what you are doing.
