*looks around* Is this the site review board? No! This is not the site review board! Your background is offputting, your graphics look stupid with that white round them. And WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ON TWO DIFFERENT HOSTS WITH ONE SITE?!?!

:) Not bad, but it's not quite there.

The background is a nice piece of work, but it's too... busy... perhaps a static one?

I've found that users like pages better when they're simple and clean-- don't throw a lot of stuff at them because each piece by itself looks cool.

Images in Xara web demo? I think it let's you change the background color. Even if you set it to black, it won't be perfect, but it's better that current. Try Photoshop if you can.

The Google search thing doesn't look right-- try doing your own Google image, and write the form code yourself (if you can). It'll blend in with the background better.

I started HTML/CSS 4-5 months ago if that and can still mak valid sites at least. Delete what you have now. Learn proper HTML and CSS, then start over.

I had a great laugh looking at your site. Dont worry about these geeks slagging it of they did that to my sites.
And my sites take money wich is what i designed them to do. These guys seem to like square boxes and fancy designs.
Your site made me laugh and i bet that is waht it was designed to do.
There for it works.

i know your 14 and all and its your first try, but that site is really tacky. i mean the stars in the background and stuff, it doesnt really work too well with the eye. lose the background then your on to something.

Also remember most newcomers center everything in the page, thats a no no. try using tables =0)

Uhm, no. Tables are meant to display tabular data; a page layout is hardly tabular data. The table element is not meant to be used as a means of layout and thus should not be used as a means for layout. Semantic, clean, valid markup combined with CSS is what you’re looking for. Don’t believe me? Check out The Garden (http://www.csszengarden.com/) and The Vault (http://cssvault.com/).

you are right, but he is a beginner and css might be alittle confusing. tables are real easy to learn for the basics. also some older browers do not handle css properly, that become somewhat of a problem.

But the content will still display that is what is most important, isnt it? I found CSS much easier then tables, I have never even used a table to display non tabular data.

Lots of things are confusing when you first start to learn them, that’s no excuse to start someone out learning incorrectly; do you think CSS will get easier after the OP has been “programmed” to use tables? No. If anything, it will be harder.

Forget using tables as a means of layout and learn CSS. It will probably be difficult, but so is everything else.

W3Schools (http://www.w3schools.com/css/) is a good place to start. Also, Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=CSS+Tutorials&btnG=Search) is your friend.

Less bandwidth usage
Clean, valid, semantic code
Better search engine ranking
Faster loading times
You can put all your styles into an external stylesheet, and then change the font color in one place and have hundreds of pages reflect the change (instead of sifting through all those pages and changing dozens of FONT tags)

um, i've seen worse to be honest. you should check out my site to get some tips. i would recommend making the interface a bit cleaner...for example your graphics need to be cleaned up a bit. it looks a bit cheesy and outdated...

You may want to make your site have a uniform look. It's more professional looking and less confusing when everything has a same look or style. And as Paul Jr said, with the use of CSS you can change the look of all of your pages at once with an external style sheet.
