I have designed a basic website using Frontpage and have no problems when I view in my browser, internet explorer.I have also previously uploaded a webpage to NTLworld using FTP Windows Commander successfully. However,I cannot upload the site I designed with Frontpage. When I log on to the FTP the Frontpage web folder is not there.I also cannot configure the FTP within Frontpage. It will not make a connection. Can you tell me how I can upload my pages. Is it possible to save the pages so that they will upload without having to start again? Ken

It sounds like your host does not have FrontPage Extentions installed. The Extentions are a requirement for sites written in FrontPage to work properly. Otherwise, FrontPage will work.

Suggestion: Ditch FrontPage. All it's going to do for you is build site's that will only work as intented in Internet Explorer...and that will rarely happen. :) The best way to start: dive into HTML and handcode your projects using Notepad or the like. :)

Thanks for your replies to date but I would prefer to upload these pages just to get started. My intention is then to use HTML. Would I have the same problem if I used Dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver uses FTP for uploading and downlaoding your webpages. It is much easier to use, comes complete with the deal of not spurting our to much invalid code.

I would definatley reccomend it!

You would have better luck coding in Weaver than you would in Frontpage, as weaver doesn't require special plug-ins on the server side.
