website review / download time

Hey Everyone,

Just made a new flash movie for http://www.chickflick.com.au and just wanted to get an idea on how long the site and flash movie takes to load on different bandwidth speeds.

Any suggestions would also be appreciated :)

the site took about 50 seconds to load (i missed the exact number). i see you made it in dreamweaver. good for you for putting straight html links as well as your flash menu.:D overall not bad.

Are we talking just the initial loading of the home page? It took 33 seconds on my 56K, but a really poor 56K connection. I've seen worse. :) I would say that I do like it when a Flash item is loading and I get to see the progress of it loading. Having something showing what percent is loaded helps out low speed connection users. For me to see something blinking "Loading..." has me wondering for how long. Depending on my mood, I may just exit the site instead.
