Hello there.

I was just curious how you would create a SMS script for a website. Basically a script that will take a user inputted set of text and then send it to the mobile number defined by the user.

In simpler terms, take a look at http://www.cbfsms.com/ and i was wondering how you could do this. How advanced is the knowledge needed?

pretty advanced. You would need access to or setup your own sms gateway, and different networks will have different protocals. I read some stuff on it and it confuses the heck out of me. But it is not something anyone can do, its generally hard to get access to an sms gateway, and it is for a reason. The phone companies do not want internet spam clogging up their networks. It might be a little easier there in the uk, but its a bit tricky here in the states. You guys can get free polyphoic ringtones sent to your phone from where ever, but our riaa thinks they have a right to step on that too. Those jerks did not encode the thing, it just has a similar melody to a song that they recorded, how dare they snatch it too. GRRR I HATE THE RIAA WITH A FIREY PASSION.
