Hi
I was looking for a way to avoid the expensive streaming hosting servers and a way to prevent the average surfer from being able to steal my videos.
I found it with Camtesia and a script that a friend gave me.
The only problem is that the videos are downloaded in the surfer's cache and after a certain time the computer becomes very slow.
I wonder if someone could help me to modify this script so that the cache would be emptied after the viewing of the video?
Thanks in advance
Henri

You cant. There is no way to stop a video from being stolen, even streming can't stop it from happening, it just makes it more dificult. The stream protocal and format can effect this difficulty. But there is no way to media if you put it on the internet, the solution is to not put it on the internet to begin with.

I agree with you that if someone really wants to steal your videos, they can but I want to deal with the average surfer.
(I'm in comercial real estate and don't want the competition to steal my videos with a simple right click. For most of them it's the only way they know how to save...there are still some people out there in real estate that have to ask their secretary for their email address)
There must be a way to make it very hard for the surfer to save and find the video.
This is what I'm interested in finding.

so stream it.
You can use a .asx file, which is advanced stream bla bla bla, its just a file, like an xml file, and then you put the video file inside of it and it is streamed to the user from the http server. Or you can run a stream server, I suggest darwin. Its an open source server.
