Hey this is a site i created recently to showcase my work/ some of my writings etc.
Its valid XHTML strict and CSS apart from one error but im too lazy to ftp just now i tryed using a property that doesnt exist.

Anyway comments/critism on design/code/usability/accessiblity

Read my post here http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=220293#post220293 i think seen as you have an empty banner div, you should really use it to some effect. Love the logo, reminds me of somewhere though....

think the edges should be more distinctive and the google ads colour scheme is not very matching.

About the google ads im away to change the colour it matched my last design so i will have to change them.

Yes i will accomodate for people who have images disabled if thats what you mean.

I think you should look into some sort of image replacement technique for your section titles, so you can still have a title if images are disabled, or if CSS is disabled. Also, the text in the section titles are hard to read; the text looks very blurry.

Good point Paul i will look into using it. They are quite blurry but that was because i had to use hue/saturation to change the colour without the psd.

if this was my site personally, i would make the navigation a bit bigger in height. i am not a big fan of cramped pages. that added with the quite short section titles it looks rather cramped. don't get me wrong, many sites can hav a cramped style and look good but i think that you have room for taller/wider features.

Another idea is to add
body{
margin:0 0 30px 0;
}

to you site style as when the page is extended, the bottom border is right up against the frame of the page. again, i get a bit of a cramped feel.

Okay here; how about a change of background colour to possibly light green or light/dark/medium blue?
