HTML tables JavaScript and XML Menu

Hi!

I have still 2 questions :

1. If one can load some text from file in to
a cell in a Table made in HTML. I guess this
will be easyer to make in JavaScript of which
I know almost nothing :(

2. Can one save the state of the menu made in
XML to open it on other page just in the same
position?
