This is very new at the moment so please don't focus on the content, I am mostly interested in what you think of the design.

Is the design to unelaborate? Should I make it more interesting? If so how?

all your copyright info is so small i cant even read it. Waaayyy to small. Seems bare, the layout.

When you say that the design is 'bare' what would you suggest to make it less bare?

Well what makes me say it is bare is that the whole site is white except for the borders, which there aren't very many of, making the site seem "wimpy" in a sense.

Also your header image which states "Home Page Hell" looks like it says "Some Page Sell" because the typography is very curvy, yet has hard edges, which is sort of bizare.

Another suggestion would be to make a more graphical header image. Something that is eye catching. It is the forcal point of the page. At the moment your eye wanders because as I said before te "structure" seems loose. (when i say structure i mean like the psyical 'structure' not html etc).

maybe add some pics or some more graphics? the part where it says home page hell is awful pixeled maybe setting it to another font or if you use photoshop set the font to sharp or crispt or even strong instead of none. it will give it a more smooth look.

thanks, I'll have a go at making a better header and I'll look into making the menu more obvious.

O.k. I've replaced the Header image, changed the fonts of headers and links and I've added a deatial to the margin. What do you think?

Oh yeah, and I also changed the borders to fit with the header.

Well, drop the annoying pop-up host and someone might stick around to check your website. Pop-up sites almost always triggers a "Ctrl+W" action from my side with no revisits.

Well I could use a different host that puts banner ads and text links in rather than a pop-up that most sensible users never even see but then how would I get free php host with a short url?

Like the majority of internet users. :D

If IE was an oddball player on the browser market, I guess no host even bothered considering using pop-up's to finance the FREE hosting service they're offering.

looks better! i still would do something about the navigation though. maybe move it out on the right in the middle of the white but on the same line as where it says by paul 'the tree' carpenter

i mean move the navigation text over to the right about 460px and bring them up to about that same height as the part where it says pual 'the tree' probally no box around them either but you might wanna keep the box its in now there.
