[Tiny font sizes may not do the older crowd too well; but they wouldn't be there, any way...] I'd urge you to continue that idea of clean design and drop the tables for css. [Think you'd enjoy coding much more in the end ;-) as well!] For instance, you could have the 'corner' graphic on black as a body{ background... the blue line image as part of a main div background - and the content as a small paragraph with overflow{ scroll... Lastly, the right navbar could also just be a div with an unordered list for your links. Sorry to harp on this; nice site, El Misterq 08-03-2004, 06:07 AM thanks for your response! i hadnt thought of not using the tables, just using css: ill look into it... cheers mr q sharkey 08-03-2004, 06:25 AM Just what LJK said and nice design easy to use navigation good work. Misterq 08-04-2004, 07:07 AM thanks! anyone else? zingmatter 08-04-2004, 11:46 AM Is that a splash page (default.html)? Don't do it. Misterq 08-04-2004, 12:18 PM Originally posted by zingmatter Is that a splash page (default.html)? Don't do it. im not really sure what you mean by a 'splash page' mr q zingmatter 08-04-2004, 12:34 PM Sorry, what I meant was, if you just type in you url then you get taken to a default page (index.html, default.html in your case). Why not have you home page as the default the default page rather than a page with link taking you to the home page (this is a splash page). Misterq 08-04-2004, 12:39 PM ah ok, i see theres no real reason that i have this page there. i was already considering taking it away: i agree with you that it adds little to the site... thanks mr q crh3675 08-04-2004, 04:32 PM Just a personal opinion but white text on a black background is very un-natural for the human eye. I find it difficult to read your text because not only am I squinting from the small font size but the inverse white on black becomes a struggle. I would bump the font size up and try incorporating a pattern within your black background. Also, the gray text might as well be black as I cannot clearly read it anyhow. Misterq 08-05-2004, 10:14 AM thanks for your comments. very useful info... mr q webdeveloper.com
