simple email submission

Okay, I know this MUST be easy. All I simply want is a server side cgi script to simply email info for just one form. The way I have it set up now is just simply for the form to open the users default email program. What I want is for them to click "submit" and be done. Not have to actually send an email.

I am sure this is the simplest thing, but I just CANNOT figure out cgi/pl scripting. I have used matts script archive, but that just doesn't seem to help (I've set up a message board on another website and I just don't like it).

I'm sure the cgi part of this would be pretty short and simple, so if anyone has anything could you pretty please post it up here - both the html part and the .pl text part (I know how to save perl files and where and how to upload them, just not coding it!).

You know why you shouldn't make "just a simple script to process just one form", because there is the wolf outside baby.

There are a lot of spammers on internet trying to find someone who thought that and have a open door for them.

I suggest you to try again matts script or another script well known and tested (check out cgi-resources.com (http://www.cgi-resources.com) ).

If you post here your problem to make matts script work or another script, I'll help you to get it running.

So you mean, if you just make it work simply, then at that email account I would get lots of junk and spam?

Or do you mean worse.... like hacking into systems or corrupting webservers?

I guess I didn't think about all that.

I guess I'll go back over to matt's script archive and see what I can manage this time. Oh well.
