Looking for a counter that would keep track of gif or jpg files

I would like to count the number of times an image file is being displayed on my site. Is that possible?

I believe it is, so long as you can obtain your server's Raw Access Logs. And if so, this would likely only be possible with a server-side scripting language, such as PHP or ASP.
