Who said NY was the most American state? We certainly aren't the most patriotic...

Ben Rogers
08-16-2004, 12:15 PM
True, but with the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis island... y'no.

MstrBob
08-16-2004, 12:17 PM
Actually, the courts stated that Liberty Island is technically the property of New Jersey. Btw, New Jersey SUCKS! Good god, it's a miserable place, wouldn't mind it falling off the face of the earth. :p

rhsunderground

Ben Rogers
08-16-2004, 06:58 PM
You're right, Bob. New Jersey does suck. :p

The Vatican, eh? Do they even send people to represent the Vatican?

Conor
08-16-2004, 08:59 PM
the most patriotic countries are in the midwest and middle states, not in NY, and me, Im not patriotic in the least.

neil9999

I've just realised this poll is a bit bias, as there are far more Americans than anyone else on here, that's the only reason why they're in the lead:mad:

Neil

Ben Rogers
08-17-2004, 10:22 AM
Wait, Neil- are you saying people are gonna vote for their own country? NO!!!!

And, actually, most Americans are apparently voting for China, and Luxemborg...

neil9999
08-18-2004, 01:36 AM
But there's still far more Americans than anyone else, only a few Americans vote china and luxembourg.

RHS, are you voting for the Vatican or Poland?:D

Did anyone watch any of that "throw put" or whatever its called? Damn... that's like Goku stregnth right there. People like that- think of the dedication you have to put in... but on the plus side, if anyone makes fun of you for it, you have redwood-arms to shush 'em up. ^^

Did anyone watch any of that "throw put" or whatever its called? "Throw put"!? I bet you were (or is that are?) bullied at school. Let me guess glasses? Have to stop at the top of the stairs for a breather? Kids today (i'm getting old!!) need to spend far less time w***ing in front of their computers and do some running about.

Exercise = Feeling and looking healthy, Feeling Healthy = Improved mood and confidence, Improved mood and confidence + looking healthier = much improved chance of getting your hands on things that could be described as "wet as an otters pocket". It's a simple formula and has the added bonus of increasing life expectancy:D.

Note to everyone: Have just returned from the pub after multiple Stella's - have tendencies to rant about morals, fat kids, talk sh*t in general and will regret picking this "virtual" fight in the morning. Apologies in advance to the glasses (can be read eye fashion) wearing members of the community.

For the record, yes I do have glasses, and I've never gotten beaten up- or into a fight for that matter. You'r full of it, and I don't need to hear this. You're a hypocrite, and a jackass. You say that I'm out of shape simply because I'm on a computer and don't know the name of some obscure sport, while you rant about "kids today", say that I need to excericise more, yet admit you've just gotten back from drinking yourself stupid. Anyways, I'd continue, but then I'd be a hypocrite for reporting your post to a moderator.

Firstly, we're all posting on the WebDeveloper Forums, so it's a pretty good guess that everyone uses a computer. I also could be refered to as, dare i say the word - "semi-geek-ish" (although not usually to my face), so i don't think that labeling anybody who uses a computer unhealthy was quite the point i was attemptig to make in my ill-advised drunken stooper, as i would be condeming myself too:rolleyes: . The "kids of today" bit was a general comment/moan, echoing my war on obesity in our generation, and i'm sorry you took it so personally. Did i hit a nerve?

Secondly, Drinking and sport go hand-in-hand, it's a known fact. Have you never heard of c*ck-of-the-day;) ? As to:You're a hypocrite, and a jackass. This is a possibility and will take your comments on board.

and finally - how can you call shot put (can be read 'throw put') an 'obscure sport'? Come on, it's quite a major field event, can't believe you don't do it at school - i was under the impression Americans were big on track & field?

Lovingly,
Durbs

ps. Anybody who doesn't know the concept that is c*ck-of-the-day i would be quite happy to explain it.

Conor

Well at my school they offer shotput on the track team or whatever but we dont do it in our standard gym class

anybody else here do any sports?

For school I only play basketball but I play most sports intramirully(sp?)

Durbs
08-20-2004, 12:29 PM
Yeah I used to play basketball until i moved back to England, and nobody really played so i stoped. I now play Football for my uni and rugby for a local side. I haven't been playing rugby all that long but i think it's quality, although this could be down to the way football is slowly becoming a non-contact sport.

I have no idea what c*ck of the day is... and no, they don't have much track and field in junior high... (6-8)
