photoshop fading problem

I want to make the picture look like fading from one side to anoter side. That is, one side is very clear, another side is very fuzzy. Can photoshop do this? I tried the whole day, but still don't know how to do it. Any body knows please tell me. Thank you very much.

This might give you the effect you want...
Add a layer over your picture and fill the right half (or whatever) with a solid color. Now use the Gaussian Blur effect (value 20+) on this layer. And there you have it, maybe!
