Hi folks
Apologies if this has been asked and answered, but I coant find an answer...
Is there a java script/applet that will automatically maximise a browser window?

I hope not. How would you like having to set your window back to normal after someone automatically maximised it. Especially if they didn't leave a way or add a link, and you are forced to a ctrl/alt/del.
There is an option for that in IE, if someone wanted to use it.
If there is such a script, spreading it around isn't in the best interest. Since it can come back and haunt you. Never force anything on your visitors. They may noy ever come back.

I take your point. I never thought of that. Having said that I would not wish to leave the visitor with no method of rminimizing the window. I simply wanted the window to open fully as if the user had pressed the maximise button.
But, like I said, I take your point and forcing something like that isn't probably the best way to win returning visitors. Oh well I'll add a text line advising visitors that their enjoyment of the site would be enhance by maximiusing the browser window.
