Updated Date & Time

Hello,

I really like the way this code looks for the date:

http://javascript.internet.com/clocks/current-date.html

but for my students' website, we would like to show when a page was last updated with a simple date and time of day...

does anyone know where i can find that kind of script? much like the updated time and date at www.nytimes.com

SSI is actually perfectly suited for such a task.
