I know that everyone seems to like sites more, but I'd prefer to get a book to learn PHP. Does anyone have a recomendation for a good book. Preferably something that includes MySql and or PEAR databases. Sites are welcome too, but I'm really looking for a book to pick up.

Remember, a suggestion is still a suggestion. What I like to do is go to my library's website (http://catalog.hcpl.net/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=hcpl&uri=link=3100007~!425568~!3100001~!3100002&aspect=advanced&menu=search&ri=5&term=PHP+%28Computer+program+language%29&index=PSUBJ#focus) to look for books, then I place holds on the ones I want to get my hands on. As you can see, at my library the first 10 or so PHP books have no holds -- that means that within a few day's I can have 10 PHP books on my desk where I can give each one a thumb through to see which one I like.

Hey, both those suggestions should help me out. I forget about the library a lot because it's out of the way, but I just might check it out before I shell out $30 for a book.
