Xbloglite help?

Hey well ive been trying to set up xbloglite for a while now and it still doesnt work for me. What im asking is can someone please help me ill attach my index.html file if someone wants to give it a try i would be very appreciated.

Ive tried setting it up 4 times now 3 out of 4 didnt regonize the header, footer.php file for some reasona along with all the other files such as add comments etc one time they did recognize but once you got on the archive page clicking say the home tab wouldnt take you back home etc.
Also i know its teh flat file but i dont have mysql just now.

P.S is the code meant to start before the doctype.

oh heh, that is just an error in the php includes where I literally just copied it all into your content div. If you want...I can just resend you the index file i used and then replace the default one.

any code you do not need to display something on view then place it before the doctype. If you have the code to i dunno, display the users IP Adress then placing it before the doctype will mess up and display it at the top of the page. otherwise display other code such as password information or formmail stuff at the top of the page.

That would be great neczy but to get what you done working what do you need to do becuase this is what i did.

In the config file did you change anything except from the password etc becuase i think its the paths or something when i set it up all the paths are wrong for some reason and then it tells me it cant find the header or footer file.

are the styles still diisplayed? maybe because some individual pages root path on the actual page are not pointing to the config file correctly. go around i think there is a bout 10 pages. check them all!

Nope the styles wouldnt display either ill just wait and see if neczy can post his becuase his version has looked better than any of mine so far.

sure. I'll upload the index.php file and the config file, getting rid of the password field. Ill do that in a few, just need to zip it up.

here you go. All i editted was the password field in the config file. As you can see, the blogging software was located in the directory sharkey, but if you want it to be the main thing on your site then just take that out.

Great mate thanks for your help and effort now i have a few problems but things are def working better now ill list the problems below.

1.Style error for some reason my page has a slight left margin in it now.
2.Once ive added a blog it takes me to an unstlyed page where the comment adding bit is.
3. The archives not working probably becuase ive set the link up wrong what should it be.

EDIT: The admin.php file is still bringing up neczy.no-ip thingy.

I would go through the files and check to see if i editted a few things to make it work, I dont remember doing it but I might have.

Also, for the comments/archives you have to add in the style sheets/divs etc.

Well ive fixed one error the last one these are the ones left.

The last error is a pain do you know like when you want say the archive page to have your same layout you have to add the divs to the index.php in the archive folder well what file is it for the editing comments etc.

I knew how to do the comments at one point but i seriously forget. As for the archives, I never really figured that out. I would ask Jona or omega. I know they had theirs done.
