IE 6 & Open In New Window

I have both IE version 6 and Netscape version 7.01 installed on my computer.

There is a problem I am facing with IE. Whenever I click on link that opens in a new window (or if I click on 'Open in New Window'), a new window opens but it is blank. When I refresh this new window after pressing the stop button, I get to see the content of the page. Incase the new window doesn't have a menu bar then I can't see the page at all, the right click doesn't work.

With Netscape this problem is not there. The new window opens fine with the contents.

I have reinstalled IE 6. The same problem is encountered. What can be the possible reason for this problem?

Interesting,with the emerge of IE6 MS is becoming a bit more standards compliant.It sounds like they have complied to standards a little too much..
(joking).

The answer may be in the html part of the code where you are opening a new window from.
Pleae psot your code.

This is general problem. It is not limited to just one particular page. Right clicking and trying to open a page in a new window on any link on yahoo/google etc. gives the same result.

As I said eaarlier,posting your html code will be help full.Or pointing to one particular place where this can be seen happening..

As mentioned earlier that it is not limited to just one particular page. It is happening with every website/webpage - yahoo/google etc.

I have just tried this.

www.yahoo.com

on the page

1.I clicked right clicked all of the links at top where email,finance,shop and jobs stuff is.
The new window opened with the relative pages.

2.Just below the search button,I right clicked almost all links and every link opened in new window.

IE version I have is
6.0.2800.1106

OS win 2k sp2.

It seems like I could not reproduce the eror you have mentioned.
I know that "you had mentioned" but I think I missed something in your post and thought if its some bug then I should know about it.

Attached is an image - what I get when I right click to open a new window. Is it due to some kind of security/permission. I have to press the stop button and then refresh button to see the page in the new window.

I think I've read something somewhere so I googled and found some reference to a bug in IE6 beta concerning blank windows but nothing more up-to-date. The beta bug had to do with a corrupt DLL.

Yes the transparent window is probably due to a corrupt DLL file. But which one? I have IE 6.0.2600.....

This is about the beta bug but chances are it's the same DLL I guess. Have a try! :)
