Can I use SQL to access MS Access...

Hello,

If I create a MS Access database and upload it to my server, can I use SQL commands to access it?

Please assume I can upload and create this server. I am new to databases and know how powerful they are so I am trying to create one and learn the SQL commands by manipulating it.

The server I use is Apache. In the control panel I can create a datbase. Is this what I should do instead of creating one with Access? Considering if I can even do that. I don't know if they are the same thing or not!?

Nevermind. I just created a database on the server. Now I just have to learn phpMyAdmin.
