Guestbook BBS cgi

I'm using the Guestbook BBS from here (http://www.htmlgoodies.com/beyond/bbscgi.html) at htmlgoodies.com. I'm having a great deal of trouble since I have no clue what I'm doing. I followed all the instructions on the page but it won't create the bbs.html page. I get the thank you page but that's it. I double and triple checked everything it tells you to do so I was wondering if there is anything else that might be stopping me.

Am I not explaining my problem well enough? Would you like to see the code? Do you need more information? Do I appear too stupid to be helped? Are you irratated that I seek help from those who are willing to learn that which I am not, when clearly learning is what I need? Throw me a bone here please.
