Sound Files.

Hi, I am new to this website. I have just started an HTML class in school and have been reading some of the tutorials on this webpage. I don't know a whole lot of coding yet but I would like to know how to put sound files or sounds on my site. Like when someone first comes on the site, a song is played or when the cursor is placed over a picture a sound is play. Please let me know how it is done and if it is possible.

Its all possible some like when you hover over the image and the sound is played would be javascript. But ill give you a tip lots of users hate it when sounds are automatically played becuase it takes the page longer to load and annoys them.
