Hi everyone...it's been awhile.

I know this has nothing to do with web design but since most of you are smarter than I am..I wish to know something.

I am planning on purchasing a DVD/CD-R player and was curious..if I had some sound files in WAV format and recorded them on a CD, would I then be able to play them on the DVD/CD-R player?

Are there other formats these players can read aside from CD and DVD such as RedBook or suchwhat?

Thanks!

There are many CD Rom players/recorders. Here are a few:
CD
CD-DVD
CD-CDR-CDRW- with DVD ??? but I would look for this.
CD-CD+G (For Karaoke and video
CD-VCD-CD+G
And here's the best
DVL-DVD-CD+G-LD-VCD By Pioneer $999.00 A complete self contained professional unit

So you have to read the specs. and ask more questions.

Can you play WAV files? on the CDR or CDRW through your computer only. Also KAR files which are Karaoke. These may play on a CD+G player The G is for graphics, (the lyrics on the screen)which is a Video track. Because it is also a CD player, not a recorder Well you asked!!!
PS I have a CD Rom and a CDR-CDRW in the computer. UPS will deliver a CD+G Certified CD-Recorder and a program tomorrow morning so I can record CD+G Karaoke audio and Video to play on a TV, also turn my LapTop into a karaoke machine solo, or hook it up to any TV and Host Karaoke anywhere.
