I need/want to learn cgi, but I will have to be pretty much slef taught (unless anyone lives near LA and they want to teach me) can someone recomend a good book. one where cgi is broken down well. I really don't know how to define a "good book" but it would be nice if it contained things like proper coding syntax, sample scripts the whole nine yards.

The complete (free) reference manual for Perl. Also, see http://learn.perl.org/ if you still want a book anyway.
