No, sorry, it wouldn’t be fun.

I’m not old enough to get into clubs that serve alcohol; I’m not old enough to drink; … I’m not even going to comment on that banging chicks part.

Hmm, but, shouldn't a BBQ for us all be located somewhere near civilization?

And god, a WD BBQ is a scary thought. Gathering all of us computer nerds in one place. Imagine the results...

The ONLY place to have a barbecue is in Canada. That way us geniuses from the north wouldn't have to lose money travelling to the states just for a barbecue.

And of course, we would serve Albertan Beef

We can all do it at 127.0.0.1, and here is how. We post up a recipe for some smoked turkey, pulled pork, etc (or just get sonny's or your area's equivalent to cater) and then we all bust out the web cams and eat in front of it. Web cam dinner. Know a good chat client that allows for lots of web cams? We could all mic chat through team speak or ventrilio.

Write one. It may be the next big thing. You could have a tabbed interface, each one with a different face-to-face convo.

PeOfEo
09-28-2004, 12:57 AM
ugh... write it in what. VB would not work for the linux users here, and I have no idea how to do all the sockets junk with java. This sounds like a hard application to make! Plus I would not have it done forever! Lets see if we can find a premade solution, otherwise we can do this through browsers. Every user would need to run a server for their webcam feed though.

PeOfEo

<drool />That would teh f'kin' schweetness! I say New York city, that way I could get a cab there (considering I could convince my parents to let me go), or ride in with my dad to work, there's a bus that costs $10 that runs all day, I could take that. Also, RHSU would have to fly, and so would all of our UK'ers, but the coolness would override cost+effort. :D

Now, to be realistic. I have no webcam, and probably never will... Why not just start up a running chatroom, where all of us go? That'd be pretty cool. Discussions are easier in chat clients, anyways.

Daniel T

Get a f'ing webcam. They are dirt cheap. Someone (lavalamp I think) suggested we use skype for this mofo. I am going to try it out. If it works I say we all get webcams and figure out a time where it works for all of us. This might be hard with the whole time zone issue. If we just want a chatroom we have billions of options. I mean irc, aim, yim, msn, icq, tons more. Also mic chat we have ventrillio, team speak, aim, yim, msn, the list can keep on going. We needs the webcams... it makes it cooler.

Whoah, whoah, whoah. Suddenly you're at the front to be mod? Says who? I think we settled this matter long ago, that Bob should be either this forum's supreme dictator, and as such I think I should be the board's authoritarian control. You want it? Watch out for Big Brother Bob. :p

what about the Anarchists Jolly Roger Cookbook? I had a word document with 300+ pages explaining with diagrams how to create bombs, pick locks, hack, disable flight black boxes, fire weapons, build and mould firearms, disable alarms, create bomb timers and other various terrorist actions. I downloaded it by accident and had to delete it for the fear that MI5 would swoop through the window.

The highly acclaimed Hitman's Handbook also ended up on my desktop. It's a high risk document and i formwatted my hard drive as soon as it appeared. I am not going down for this!!!!!!!

Ben Rogers

Anyways, whereabouts are these docs? I'd like a peek at 'em.
