Hi ppl.. do you think online chat rooms should be restricted to people over the age of 16??

I personally think tat people under the age of 16 are very vulnerable to "cheaters" in the chat rooms.. BUT on the other hand, chatting in the chat rooms help them to exposed to and get to know more ppl around...

What do you think??[COLOR=darkblue]

No, because it's (a) almost impossible and (b) a completely unnecessary restriction on freedom. The vast majority of online chatrooms are perfectly safe, and even those that aren't can be spotted by vigilant parents or teenagers who know what they are doing.

FYI, I'm 17.

If that was to happen then they'd just be empty.

most of the people on these forums can't drink yet. So restricting most of them will leave you with very little. You'll be very, very surprised by the young ages of the members here.

^^^ cant drink doesnt mean dont, its not like its hard to get alcohol just like it would be almost impossible to keep people under 16 out of chatrooms.

That is why I didn't say don't. I used the exmaple in the way you showed. Whether you try to prevent it or not, youngsters will drink, and 14 year-olds will get in.
