protect the videos in my video feed from hackers. It seems really simple but for some reason I am having major issues. I used an htaccess file to protect the "member" area, but had to put the videos outside the "members" area, because the htaccess was causing a problem with the streaming videos, specifically the real player streams? What is up with that? Does anybody have any info that might help?

Not really sure... but could you stream it using flash? Flash movies are just about impossible to steal...

Are you trying to protect the directory; or the streaming files since it is quite easy to find tools that will capture video streams and store them to a hard-drive.
