The first thing I noticed was the text. If you are running a business and trying to sell your services/product, the text should not look like it was written without thought. It is not properly capitalized, there are spelling errors, and some grammatical errors.
Secondly, filesizes. The index_o4.gif image was 55K; I saved it, opened it up in Photoshop, resaved it, and got it down to around 24K without any visible drop in quality. I think you should optimize your images.
Thirdly, the contrast is not very good. The text is only slightly lighter than the background upon which it sits. The links at the bottom are difficult to read until you hover over them, and the links at the top I can barely see anyways, as they seem to be out of place. Also, there seems to be two links (On, Off) over to the left side off the page, where I can’t see them until my mouse accidentallly hovers over one.
Lastly, I really like the graphics! You seem to be very skilled. What program do you use?
Nice job, nice graphics. Keep up the good work!

heh, thnx bout the reply
first off, i am still workin on the css and foundation of the site, tweakin it here and there because it will be a pain in the butt to save it for later.
the on | off buttons that u can't see are supposed to overlap the on/off which are at the center, they are used to turn the lights on and off. i haven't finished them yet
and also about the text, yeah i haven't paid much atention because i just wanted to see what the site looks like with text
and yeah i realized, after opening my site on a 56k connection that i need to optimize the graphics, so i will work on that.
also, it was ALL done in photoshop. 100% down to the last pixel. ;)
again, thnx for the comment
I will say you have a good grip on Photoshop, I like it, but usually people completley finish their design before asking for it to be reviewed...

well the design is finished......the coding is not

:p It's considered the same thing, when it's on a web page. The design is when the graphics and code come together -- server-side code I could see as being different, but markup and graphics are part of the design itself. It's the result of the layout concepts.

maybe this person was too excited to show he/she couldn't wait. as for your text; please refrain from using those horrid "i want to swear but i can't" asterisks and just rephrase the comment. a point can be strongly emphasized without the use of vile words. i do not care for swear words and i am certainly not offended by them, i just feel that as a "proffesional" outlet, you don't look very appealing.
a good grip on photoshop, well yes, but i think there still could be some improvement to make a more realisitc look. i admire yes but i certainly dont compare to maniuplated to fit photography and better effects. yes he/she can make a fake lightbulb appear in a Photo Shop Document, but can they show the hidden beauty and dennoations of an ant crawling on a dessert sand?
Best Wishes,
David

that's fair enough but warnings out loud. people who want websites and hire someone generally don't undetstand the constructiona and code core of a website and interpret the coding skill on the beauty of the design. even a solid php/sql/xhtml/css web site designer...erm well coder could make a site not neccesarilty look horrible but not attractive wherea a beautiful, static html page of tablular layout would be more likely get the designer a spot of work! Harsh as it is... life!
