Ipod 40 gigs, though I really dispise the new generation of them. I hate how the scroll wheel does everything, especially since now it takes like 8 clicks/scrolls to get to where you want.

Y'know, if you get an Ipod you can slap Linux on it and use it as a small image browser too. :D

I have a 40gb nomad and love it. I have read that its sound quality is better then that of the ipod, and it also is built like a tank. I have dropped mine several times (once on cement) and it is still working great. I would say it is easily as good if not better then an ipod, and its cheaper.

Do you ever get out, man? Chicks love guys who wear pink. I thought you were a teenager. Teenagers are supposed to be different and set new standards for living. That's the whole point! The paradigm is, "Being different is being cool," not "Being different is for preppy little girls."

That's reversed logic, man. Old-school thinkin'. I didn't say "trying to be different," I said "being different." That means that we would be different. The Western culture is to be indepdendant. There are some positive and negative aspects to this, but one of the major ones is that we can be different and independant. Take advantage of your freedom to wear pink! Vote for Jona!

Whoa... I'm getting a little carried away now...

MstrBob

At this point, there are too many different people, so if you attempt to be different you're already like someone else, so why even bother saying your different?

As for "getting the girls", well, considering the variety, there's no sure fire method. Which just leaves us with the fact that Conor and Jona like pink. There is no accounting for taste.  :p

Black/silver/blue. That's the order I look for electronics in. Black being my favourite, if not I go to silver, if not I go to blue. Silver/blue is a nice combo, as well. Pink shouldn't touch electronics. Neither should yellow or green. White sucks for electronics as well (which is why I hate 90's era computers. :p )

I agree 100% there :D

At the last house I lived in with my family my room had black carpet, pretty much white walls (my mom said they had a touch of blue in it but whateva :P) and a white ceiling. One of the slanting ceiling parts (over my bed) was black as well where i planned on putting glow in the dare paint and do a replication of a part of the night sky :P so my room was pure black and white :P

well, technically cancer is not a disease at all. It is in fact damaged cells that continue to replicate regardless of all other signs that they are getting. If cancer was just a disease there would be more we would be able to do to treat it.

and your saying your not different because anyone can get it, well anyone can get a pink ipod or whatever therefore you are not different :P haha

Actually, by definition, cancer is a disease (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=disease), because it's a pathological condition. Am I right or am I right or am I just really, really right? ...Or am I Jona? (Whoa, deja vu on that one.)

Yes, anyone can get a pink iPod and be different from the previous generation. Like I said, we set the new, innovative standards for living.

Meh... not many diseases will be a threat at all eventually. Nanotechnology will be able to heal any bodily damage by regenerating any damaged or lost body parts that were originally defined in your DNA.

cancer is not mentioned once there. if you look up cancer (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=cancer) there as well you will see that cancer is:
1. Any of various malignant neoplasms characterized by the proliferation of anaplastic cells that tend to invade surrounding tissue and metastasize to new body sites.
2. The pathological condition characterized by such growths.

cells that are rapidly replicating are not diseased but damaged to put it easily :P

MstrBob
10-09-2004, 07:55 PM
Yes, to be considered a disease, it would technically have to be caused by a foreign agent, like a virus or bacterium. However, neoplasms are caused by the following of a cell's own DNA, hence not categorized as a disease, but rather an abnormal growth.

hit the nail on the head with the sales pitch. microsoft's sales pitch is just simply Micrsoft before everything because it sells.

Give it up, Jona; men do not wear pink. You mentioned girls like guys who wear pink? The guys who are sissies (i.e., who wear pink) are the ones that are “nice” and “there for support”, but when it really comes down to the nitty-gritty, the women want real men (i.e., who don’t wear pink).

The Pink Panther is cool because he's pink!

Everything by Apple begins with "i" because it's the coolest internet letter! iNet, iMac, iBook, iPod... The first letter must be lowercase, and the second uppercase. It is the originality.

Who says Pink can't be a manly color anyway? The only reason why it is even an issue is because we were brought up to believe that Pink is a girl color. If I went back in time and made all you great, great, great grandfathers believe that Pink was a manly color then guess what color you'd probably be wearing right now. I for one don't think Pink is any less manly then say Black. Leave poor little Jona alone. :p

That's exactly right. Like Jick said, everyone's just brought up thinking "blue for boys, pink for girls"; but that's for boys and girls. We're men and women now! Pink for men! One thing about that train of thought, though... Why can females wear whatever they please, yet men cannot? I don't know about you, but I don't like to go around wearing skirts. That's taking it a little too far. (Now if you're Scottish and play those annoying bagpipes, you're not wearing a skirt, you're wearing a kilt. There is a difference, though a very small one.) Women wear jeans, though, and no one looks at them weird (though that used to not be the case, correct?). But anyway... Pink on guys is in style. It was even on the news the other day.

Jona -- Pink = good on the news, eh? Bright colors aren't always cool. Beige or sandy brown cut-off jean shorts, or a dark brown, unbuttoned, three-button collared shirt with light pink (almost white) stripes are just as nice.

It's all good. A like a variety of clothing styles and colors, to be honest, but pink is above all. ;)

yeah I agree about pink, I love it, even did my site in pink. I'm a fan of many bright colors though including yellow and lime green. I just bought a purple/green track jacket as well.

Dude, <personaldresscode>a pink polo with white stripes and beige cut-offs is the best. All you need after that is a pair of sandals, a cool sports car (Viper, BMW, Lamborgini or something more affordable such as a Toyota MR2 Spyder, Chevrolet Corvette, or possibly a Mazda Miata, though Miatas aren't quite as cool), and a little spending money. Then you go hang out at the mall. Oh, and on a sunny day, slick shades are a must-have.</personaldresscode>

davidbrent

i love the expression lets hang out at the mall! it's so american.

pink is not homosexual its just the homosexuals probably wear a pink top that says LoverBoy or something similar. Its not the colour its howits worn. A tight pink top would be homosexual wear as a pink striped dress shirt might be a bit retro and sheek.

after all that i still find pink a very irritating colour. t hat is to say bright pink and yellow!

You’re just trying to rationalize your obsession with pink. Pink is a girl’s color, you cannot get around it. Men who wear pink are just… disturbing. There nothing wrong with expressing yourself, but if you’re trying to justify wearing pink by saying you’re expressing yourself, then, well, I would be afraid to find out what exactly you’re expressing.

Would that be the reason Conor has a girlfriend, and you don't?

See, Paul, David Brent doesn't like pink or other bright colors; that's fine. He is being objective. Your biased opinions simply further the discussion because of your dislike of pink.

No. I won’t get into such personal details, but it has nothing to do with my opinion on men wearing pink. Besides, people over were Conor lives are weird. Any guy wearing pink around here would stop after a few rapings.

Why baised opinions? Why are my opinions biased? I don’t know what world you live in, but you won’t find any guy wearing pink in mine — at least not a straight guy. Besides, there’s no need to be defensive; we all realize that everyone has a right to be who they want and dress how they want, no matter how wrong it may be.

Yeah, but you live in Long Island — it’s different over there. If you want to get the **** beat out of you, you can come here and wear pink. Guys wearing pink is just wrong. However, I think I understand why you people do. You’re all preppies.

It is strange. Some people can pull wearing pink off. Take Mr. Underground for example, hairy as a goat, wild as a gooseberry, he pulls pink off because its good, i imagine it looks good. Now, a greasy black haired, spotty, pale as cows milk, now they could not pull pink off. Even a smooth, casual smart, smooth skinned, cropped hair boyo could not pull pink off. I think pink must co-exist with a wild side human.

no, this is where the concept of (i dont no what it is referred to as :P) all squares being rectangles but all rectangles not being squares. everyone who wears pink and looks good in it must have a wild side, but all those with a wild side dont look good in pink. makes sense eh? that's if you go with what david is saying :P

You misunderstand. There are no homosexuals in my area (I heard rumours of there being some lesbians, though). Nor is there any guy who wears pink. Do you know why? Because they’d get beaten within an inch of their life. Now, you Long Island people must be more tolerant.

Not very many in this immediate area, but there is a town about 5 minutes South South-East, and another one about 10 to 15 minutes West. Then there’s yet another one about 30 minutes to the East.

Pink, just so you all know, used to be considered the colour for men. Up to the end of the 1800's, men often wore pink. Now, however, the Western World commonly associates Pink as being a feminine colour.

I hate Pink, because the colour bothers me. I also hate bright green, and all shades of yellow. They just bother me. *shrug*.

Okay, now how many of you see many homosexuals? I've seen guys wear pink. I've also seen guys wearing mascara, but let's not go there. I invite anyone one of you to take a walk through the lower village, you'll get a good idea of strange. I'd only look twice at a guy wearing pink, if the guy is wearing a pink tanktop, you know with his belly exposed. Then I'd be disturbed. But either way, I dislike pink on anyone, of either gender.

Anyone who's going to break some skin over a person's sexuality is either insecure, very close minded, or simply looking to appear tough. Any way you slice it, it's cowardly. If skin is getting broken, it's because someone's been talking about someone else. Or, someone has something really nice, or someone just looks a tad wimpy, and the other is having a bad day. Colour doesn't matter hear, though.

Black/silver/blue. If you can't get any of those, don't buy! Mac sucks for being so freakin closed. They won't let anyone sell music in the iPod format, and are trying to sue Real Networks because of it. Even microsoft is more open than that.

I dunno about ipods, but my nomad came bundled with converting software, so if you have stuff that is not mp3 or ma you can convirt it (a lot of formats) to those two formats. If you cant do it with that software there is some other software outthere that is free that you can use.
