Dear Katie,

I was unable to view the source (me thinks my IE6 sucks) but just a few quick oberservations, and by no means right....

Not a big fan of black background. hard to read. how did you get a PR5 already? links looked good with the background lightening. Looked like it resized well down to 800 x 600

budgetremovals

Nice colors and much easier to read. Did not resize well at 800x600 on my IE.
I was getting script errors:

Line: 87
Char: 305
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: http://www.budgetremovals.com/storage.htm

i was getting something like this on every page. again, i might also have something to do with my SP2 patch and GREAT NEW INOVATIVE microsoft helpers! Yea, thats it!

hope this is a start. nice sites tho.

re: exploretheabyss

main page: differnt bg color to the rest of the site. not really sure why. text in the bottom right corner says click on "explore" logo to return to main page but doesnt tell you what the explore logo is, i had to search around the deep ocean photography gallery to find it.

deep ocean photography gallery page: nice images but kind of expected them to be links as they look like they are in a menu and have borders (maybe i just spend too just time looking at web sites).

in the policy section you say you "will release the hounds", shouldnt it be sharks! (ha ha) Have you heard the joke; what do you call a hundred lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start!

really nice site, very visual, very interesting.

Normally I don't like black backgrounds, but as it is pretty dark deep down there, I think it is excusable on this site. In fact after browsing around a bit more while writing this, I find I now LIKE the black bg. I think the images would look wrong if the background was a light colour, they match it nicely with their own natural black background and stand out well.

I didn't get the images to enlarge on deep New Zealand. I also expected them to enlarge on Deep Ocean photography. On AbyssOnline, the Explore image didn't take me home. I think if I wasn't about to get busy, I'd have spent a bit of time looking around (but then I'm a scientist and like this sort of thing) It has potential.

Got some images to enlarge in the deep ocean gallery>galleries. These are big files - suggest you add the file size beneath them to warn users to expect a slow download. Or if these are generated by a photogallery script, at leastmention the average file size somewhere. Text on these gallery submenus is a bit small though! And I kept clicking on the tiny thumbnails in these submenus expecting them to be links.
