Once it finally loaded :), I will say I like the look of it. I think the image of the female tends to dominate the site though. Why is the resume info done in a scroll bar fashion? With the way the site is laid out, the resume looks almost unimportant since it's down and to the right within the layout. e-velocity 10-16-2004, 11:34 AM spufi, yes i know its layed out in a table, im trying to learn how to do this all in css, and one day i will soon :) (hopes) but for now i got the layout structured in a table and css to style up my body and the placement of the body. I've got the resume in the box because the rest of the site's content is in the right hand side. I ws trying to keep everything the same. Is this really hard to put in a css layout? i wanna ditch the stupid spacer gif's that photoshop spit out from auto slices. thats another reason i kept it on the left, it seemed if i made the content go larger than 409x313 i think it was, the whole bottom would be distorted, due to stupid spacers, i rather would have css do the border myself. Chrisy 10-16-2004, 11:52 AM i like that web site a simple nice lokking web site i wish i could do somthing like that 1. what about abit of flash EG. intro or a template in flash e-velocity 10-16-2004, 12:56 PM i might do something in flash tnoight, i have an idea im gonna try it for fun spufi 10-16-2004, 11:11 PM I don't think making a CSS layout will be that hard based on whay you have, but since you are just learning it, you will take longer than normal. dera 10-17-2004, 12:19 AM no 800 x 600 support is a shame, n i dont like the font that you use not consistant with the navagation, which is not that u have to keep it the same but a arial tahoma font would be nicer in my opinion easier on the eyes, on a computer screen e-velocity 10-19-2004, 03:18 PM Originally posted by spufi I don't think making a CSS layout will be that hard based on whay you have, but since you are just learning it, you will take longer than normal. well, i managed to do it.. http://www.e-velocity.org no 800x600 support yet though, any tips, please send em this way, i could use it. thanks alot. trevor spufi 10-19-2004, 04:27 PM Originally posted by e-velocity no 800x600 support yet though, any tips, please send em this way, i could use it. Your background image is 858px wide, so I think that would be the biggest thing preventing you from being friendly to smaller resolutions. dera 10-20-2004, 03:21 AM Originally posted by spufi Your background image is 858px wide, so I think that would be the biggest thing preventing you from being friendly to smaller resolutions. but if the image was a backround image with css u wouldnt have that problem of the site with a fixed width. e-velocity 10-20-2004, 11:03 AM hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm dera, got a link or something? i would like to fix that e-velocity 10-20-2004, 11:26 AM try it now, i have it set as the bg but it wont help, its still 858x393, i dont want to resize that :s guess i have no choice? e-velocity 10-20-2004, 02:21 PM n/m i got it :D thanks to all who suggested. dera 10-21-2004, 02:05 AM looks great but the 800x600 thing is not working still but i guess u cant make everybody happy good work:) webdeveloper.com
