Hello.
I have a problem with a page i'm designing...
for speed's sake i've implemented a not so friendly Iframe layout on my page...what does that means?
the homepage has LOTS of graphics which i did not want to load over and over just to see the contents wich is basically text.
so you load the heavy page once and change the contents of the iframe interactively... cool huh? well... not so cool because it works nifty in IE. but when you use other browsers it just wont appear.
that's one!
number two!... I saw a very... VERY nice dreamweaver extension menu called MenuFX... so i've implemented it too!. how nice and pretty it looks when you open it in Internet Explorer!, but guess what!... yup!
no crossbrowser support. nor the second, horizontal one i've put on top. :( ... yeah... you can start laughing now... but it's no laugh to me!
best of all is that i DID make the horizontal menu work on netscape, and i DID make it load the content on the tiny iframe it managed to load, but guess where the menu was? INSIDE THE IFRAME! in the middle of the content!
yes, i've been thinking to make 2 versions of the page, but that will mean double workload.
yes, i've heard the advice of "do not make jscript crucial for browsing your page", but,hey i if i don't use a dropdown menu i will have GeNormous list of links on my sidebar... wich is far from aesthetic.
can somebody give me a little hand with this one? i think i'm gonna cry.
