Vladdy 02-22-2003, 10:17 AM Is your code that embarrasing  :D :D. Oh BTW if you find a way to disable edit->select all here are a few other ways to get your content: 1. File -> Save As 2. View -> Source 3. In address bar: view-source: http://www.yourdomain.com 4. Go to Temporary Internet Files folder and find the file there. There are few more ways, but I think you have enough things to disable for now :D :D kdkitty 02-22-2003, 10:29 AM Vladdy, Iam not trying to hide anything I am trying to stop people from stilling my web pic's. I have spent 2 years of my life learning how to use front page and paintshop pro so that I could build my web site. I don't think that it is right for someone to just come along and still my pic's to put on there web site. Charles 02-22-2003, 10:32 AM Then I'm afraid to inform you that you have wasted two good years of your life. The internet is set up to spread information and not to hide it. kdkitty 02-22-2003, 10:57 AM your missing the point, Iam not trying to HIDE any information from anyone. All I want is for people to stop stealing my web grafic's (pics) that I created in paintShop. pyro 02-22-2003, 11:02 AM Originally posted by kdkitty your missing the pointI think _you_ are missing the point. You can not keep people from taking anything that you choose to put on the internet. But, you should also ask yourself, do you think you really made something so great that people would even want to steal it?? kdkitty 02-22-2003, 10:13 PM I looked at your web site. I see that you design web sites for people and that you all so use macromeadia flash. what do you charge for a basic web site? Say you build someone this great web site and had created some great grafics and this person paid you x amount of dollars for this site. The comes this other person that looks at it and thinks wow those grafics are neat and he helps himself to your hard work and gets what the other guy pays you for, for free. That would tend to make you some what up set? That this guy is taking what he hasn't paid for? I might not be as good as you are but my time is of value to me. And when some one helps them self to what I created then I tend to get a little up set about it. Every thing I have on my web site I have asked permision to use. And have paid for the some of the things I have on my web site. pyro 02-22-2003, 11:14 PM First of all, I doubt anyone really want's any of the graphics that I've made. None of them are too terribly good, or too teribbly hard to make. I've actually never even thought of the possibility of people taking them... Secondly, you can't really let it bother you, as there is no way to keep people from downloading your graphics, other that not putting them on the internet. For me, if the graphics get their job done in making sites that I make look good, I am happy. manz 02-23-2003, 02:23 AM Well there is no real way of saving your graphics. Most computers auto save them in a folder without the users knowlage...Tho I think thats been stated already.... There is one way however. Most people that steal images are to busy floating around on sites to even remember where they got the images. So one transparent streched image over it is just the thing. kdkitty 02-23-2003, 09:42 AM Thank You Manz, you have been most helpful. webdeveloper.com
