Years ago I used Linkbot (on Homesite 4.0) to check links in my projects. Now it no longer exists. What's a good substitute that doesn't cost a lot?

Paul Jr 10-21-2004, 07:53 PM What version of Homesite do you have? I have 5.0 and it comes with LinkBot. reader77writer 10-21-2004, 10:17 PM I have HomeSite 4.0 - and it came with LinkBot. It worked great but recently haven't used it. Today I tried it and it wouldn't work - got a message to download another version of LinkBot. Then I found this info online "Linkbot is no longer supported by Watchfire, but its functionality has been incorporated into WebQA ..." Does LinkBot still work on your HomeSite 5? Anyone have an idea how I can make my LinkBot work again? Thanks for your help! Paul Jr 10-22-2004, 02:23 AM Now that I actually try it, it seems I don't have LinkBot installed. I get this message: Linkbot 5.0 or higher does not seem to be installed on this system. Go to www.watchfire.com to get a copy of Linkbot. I've never really had a reason to use Linkbot before, so I guess I never noticed it wasn't actually installed. DaveSW 10-22-2004, 07:32 AM It's been integrated into webqa http://www.watchfire.com/products/desktop/webqa/default.aspx The price is $1,495.00 each. Ouch. webdeveloper.com
