Not being a gamer, I'll ignore that side of it, but the main image at the top was a bit slow to load even on broadband. It's 960 px wide, but I suppose that gamers usually have high res monitors, so it is excusable. The page is too long, too much scrolling down to find things. People will miss bits du eto this. Try to place the images and links that you currently have one per line side by side instead, to half the page length.

Mm, you'll be needing a layout. You know, where things are placed on the page with CSS in order to create coherency? One of those.
Next, you'll need to stop using presentational markup and declaring design related things with CSS. (Learn it. (http://www.w3schools.com/css/))
Once you do those two things, the rest should fall into place, or at least I hope it will.

the discussion forum and guestbook buttons dont look right. In fact, all the standard gray buttons don't fit in with the theme.

could definitely do with some design input. here are a few ideas from my first visit to your site. please feel free to use or ignore.
banner/site logo: impressive logo, but you could make better use of it. could remove the grey border and make it fill the top of the page so there is none of the black bg around it. get rid of the "banner made by..." text. put it in an ALT tag so it appears as a tool tip when the mouse pointer is over the banner.
background: consider a very dark green as your bg color instead of black, which is an obvious choice.
hit counter: its the right colors for your site so you should really take advantage of that and make better use. something like "######## Halo Obsessives have been where you are now!!!" in large bright green font across the width of the page derictly below the banner. could use this effect to make make it stand out even more:

all those hr's: if you really want that many horizontal lines on your page to break up the content (rather than doing it with a different page layout) you could make them the same bright green as the color that surrounds the figures in the banner.
discussion forum button: get rid of it and put it in with the other menu buttons.
menu: needs to follow with the theme of the page. perhaps medium-to-dark green buttons with brighter green text. needs some rollover effect to tell users that they really are buttons that go somewhere and that they are working. put the family guy link on a page of links and change the menu button to "Links", then add loads more links to interesting web sites. not sure the pages need to be so long but if you want them that way check out some of these for menu ideas:

copyright: should be at the bottom of the page.
images: if all the images you have are there meant to be headers for other sections you need to put the text for the section they belong to over the image and make the whole thing the link. Then, each image will be associated with its relevant page and can be used in the main menu to make navigation easy and obvious to the users.
text: all that text that makes the main page so long just seems to be a repeat of the menu. make a really good menu and then you can get rid of all that.
chat login: give it its own page with a link from the main menu
subpages: beware of underlining text as users expect this to be a link, change size to indicate heading, and pick a different font to times new roman.
summary: you could have a really impressive main page with the banner in the top half and the bottom half with the main menu and hit counter , with the copyright info at the very bottom. Some tidying up of the subpages would make them more effect for users.

hmm, not bad, could really do with some design ideas though. You should talk to a mate of mine, he's called monkey, ranked 10th best in the world at halo. His clan site is located at http://www.fragginhell.tk and he's always up for a challenge if you are after one.
