News for Brits: John Peel

I'm sad to inform the forum that British radio DJ John Peel has died.
I know he started his career in the US, but I'm sure he is best know by Brits and Brit ex-pats for nearly 40 years of ground-breaking music influence.

It indeed is a sad day for us all! Those who remember him should remember his dry humour!

Yeah man. It's like I said in a thread on another forum. Music has been going from bad to worse for a long time now, the death of John Peel, one of the last great lovers of real music is like the final nail in the coffin of music. I still can't believe he's gone myself.

And yes, his sense of humour was very dry, very cutting and very accurate.
