What's wrong with Callisto? It kicks butt and on top of that is very easy to tinker with since its an AxKit based system, which means you can bring all the facilities available to you in mod_perl to bear on whatever you want to do, which is no small virtue. There really isn't anything else out there thats in the same league (at least for free).
I suspect most people's problem with Callisto is just that it isn't intended to be a shrink-wrapped solution, its a set of tools which adds on to AxKit, but you still need to create your own site around that. I'd be happy to do that kind of work... ;o).
