I am thinking of using exchanging banners, in order to get visitors to my site. But I'm wondering... in case that I'm not satisfied, may I remove the exchanged banner from my site whenever I want, or am I restricted from doing so?
Secondly, I'm troubled, whether having advertisements in my page, shows a bit of unprofessionalism....
Please, experienced people, advise!

Your first question would be relative to the banner exchange service to which you register. The Terms of Service may vary greatly, depending on which exchange you become a member of. I wouldn't be troubled about losing a professional look because of advertisements. Look at all the large corporate sites: JupiterMedia, MSN, Yahoo... even this one (which is part of JupiterMedia). They are considered professional, and they are, in fact, yet they have advertisements.

When I first started using a PC I would have said adverts would make a site look unprofessional. Having said that though, M$ won't even consider you for the Xbox review program unless you have adverts on your site. They don't really care (to an obvious extent) what, just so long as you have adverts.
