Affiliate website business

I run a couple of affiliate marketing websites - but my question is should I be registered as a business for legal and tax purposes for these sites? Right now, everything is under my name/ss# and I am worried come tax time that I will be at a disadvantage.

If it is an online business, get registered with your city or county.

Otherwise you will not be able to get any tax deductions and you would be legally running a business.
