a liitle help from a java junkie?

man i am interested in creating some text graphics such as this []xxxx[]::::::::::::::::> <--- a sword, how ever some of my best work takes more than 1 line to display in yahoo, how do i write or edit or what ever i have to do to be able to do this, i see this done in yahoo everyday and im very interested, i know not very inteligent but i am an artist and i must feed the beast within. hahaha, any help would be greatly appriciated, thanks

I think what you need is preformatted text, so whitespace is displayed as written and line breaks appear as in the HTML document. To do this, simply put the text in between <PRE> and </PRE>.

ok maybe im not clear enough, i am a rookie whe it comes to java and java script, but i do want to learn where i cam find the infpo i need to learn this, other than books and college. i was hoping i could find it onb the web, what i am interested in is displaying pics in yahoo chat rooms such as :
[]xxxx[]::::::::::::::::::>
but some of my drawings take up motre than i line
can anyone help? thanks

Hit Shift + Enter. This works for me in AIM and I assume it would work in Yahoo too.
