I am in the process of changing my pages from table to css, I'd like to hear your opinions. Here's what I've done so far:

(very simple page, but can you tell me why IE5 is not diplaying correctly? is it because it is not 'young' enough to inegrate all the -valid- CSS I used ? - IE6 and motzilla firefox work just fine. IE5 makes up 15% of visitors though...)

(I'm a start building a new header for this one, though I'm not so sure where to start from: a picture, a header template, start from scratch, I've never done this before - Im using an older version of CorelDraw, you think it will do the job?)

I have a problem with the DTD. Right now I put XHTML strict, but haven't yet got rid of the target tag. What problems will this cause, I haven't noticed any? But in any case, it wont validate with those ads no matter the DTD.

BTW, the menu on the jokes page, someone told me about this article /taming lists/ I just wanna say thanks. I know I took it almost exactly as it was, but it has the best colors I've ever seen on a menu, I just had to 'steal' it.

I think it is great, I use to have jokes site, I still have thousands of jokes, sounds like a new project maybe lol. I think your site is kool love the design of it, I would like to give you some of my thoughts of your site......I think you should leave the top part with all the same so it will load fast ...some servers are slower than others, also front page should keep small then expand from there... any ways its kool!!!

I would suggest moving your site to a different host with out adds, unless you placed them into the site.

I also say that you should stick to one font.

I'm not planning to pay for hosting, at least not yet. I've given www.speedsurf.to a try, I don't think pop-ups are a better alternative to ads on the page. I once thought that they might be, since people have blockers, but now not even I have a blocker, coz it used to block 'good' pop-ups from time to time, and that's even more anoying. thanks anyway.

Oh and the subdirectory... I find that very annoying. I can't give you a good reason, but "mysite.theirsite.com" is a hell of a lot better than "theirsite.com/mysite"
