Images on the MAC & Windows machines

How do I write code to display images on both a MAC & Windows machines - or do I have to write two seperate webpages, one for each?

Next question if I have to write for the MAC seperately how do I do that on a Windows HTML Editor?

I tried to download a MAC editor but it wont run in Windows.

Thanx lavalamp - The code you quoted is the code I have on my webpages but the images do not show on an "Apple iMAC Panther system"..??

Can you comment or advise on that problem please..

are you using safari? and do you have images enabled?
do you have a firewall?
