I have some simple text (part with a simple drop shadow) which is on a white default background
I need to make the background transparent, but can't figure it out, surely there is a way to do this from within psp4. - I can see some transparency options in the 'save as' tile, but none make the preview button light, I've put the .gif on my site, but it still has the horrible white background on my otherwise coloured page !
Obviously it would be easy to turn the backround of the .gif to the same colour as the background, but I don't really want to do it that way.
Any help, most appreciated, if you want to see the problem .gif, it's on myweb.tiscali.co.uk/blackpoolsingles

(site under construction, this is a temporary address)

Thankyou for your help ! - Paul

It may be a good idea to set aside some extra budget savings to purchase new graphics software (I'd suggest Photoshop CS). You can find a usually legal version of Photoshop at a cheap price at eBay. PSP4 is very old, so I doubt there are very many tutorials for it anymore. Just a suggestion.
