I am not very keen on template reviewing but as my client is away for a few days, I thought I would get a few opinions onto the palette before the presentation.

Now I have friends and collegues who would be more than happy to review the site in question but I decided to have a little fun and ask around. This template is not so much a template but more a composition. I have watermarked the design for copyright purposes so try to ignore the overlay in transparent white.

The composition in question: http://dfprom.giggledesign.com/

I have read previous reviews and you have to realise that I do understand all about CSS so no need to prompt me on that one and I can personally assure you that once the image has been split into markup and ready for launch, I will construct it with accessibility at the forefront of my mind.

For all you dial-up internet users, be warned, the page consists of one image (that's all!) but the picture is 269Kb in size.

I would be grateful for helpful input and would appreciate any constructive criticism.

Since there is only an image, I will say the image looks very well done.

I agree, image looks awesome. I think you should get red of the wed and replace it with the whole word. Then it'll go more with your site. I think thats the only thing that sticks out.

This certainly does look pretty cool, when you make are you going to have rollovers on that side menu? 'cos I think that'd look pretty cool.

Thank you. Would you say it fits the theme (punk/rock genre).

The idea of this part is simply so viewers can compare todays date with the dates on the tour. I was also wondering whether to change from WED to WEDNESDAY. I will do that.

I was going to have simple rollovers. My plan was to highlight the text on the hover state. Do you have any other suggestions for the rollovers?

As a further note. I was thinking of adding a background image rather than a solid colour. Do you think this might distract the user from the content? Or are you in favour. I was thinking a dark blue/black background with a white/grey coloured scripture styled image. Similar to that of http://24-7media.de/ but with the above colours.
