Anyone happen to know how much monthly dns bills are for home servers? I am eather going to get my own server or pay my friend a small fee for access to his server. Also anyone know if they are going to come our with XP server? I was browsing microsoft and didnt see a thing on it. It seems the newest thing is 200/me junk

Windows 2003 server is due out soon. Are you looking to be using DNS connection for your database?
If so windows 2000, Windows XP pro + corp all have ODBC which is for DNS connections. Or are you wanting to set up a domain name server, i which case Windows 200 Server, Advanced server and datacentre server is whats avaliable at the moment?

I want to host my own sites on my own server but my friend told me I am going to end up having to pay a dns bill to do this
